How has 2010 been treating you so far? To say that 2009 was a challenging year for all of us would be quite the understatement. As resilient and hardworking as our industry is, we will certainly get through these difficult times.
I hope that you enjoyed reading last month's issue featuring Lisa Kelly from “Ice Road Truckers.” She has quite a following and we are proud to have her help supporting Driver HEALTH magazine and The Healthy Trucking Association of America. You may recall reading about Alex Debogorski from “Ice Road Truckers” in our November issue. Thanks to their support, more and more trucker-friendly personalities are partnering with us to help raise awareness and support for the health and wellness of all truck drivers.
This month we are featuring country musician Lindsay Lawler, who cares a great deal about today’s drivers. In fact, she recently wrote a few songs dedicated to the trucking industry. Lindsay is just one example of a number of HTAA supporters from the country music scene we’ll be featuring in the coming months. You will also soon be hearing from some of NASCAR’s most popular drivers and how they are getting involved with the HTAA.
For those of you with Internet access, we have added a new feature to our online issue of Driver HEALTH (driverhealth.org). When you click on the front cover, you will have the ability to hear audio links from the editorial articles as well as advertisements, providing readers with a more interactive experience.
Stay warm and stay healthy!
